(He was a media-stuntin&#039; war rebel from the 60&#039;s -- also was referenced in Forrest Gump -- Abbie was controversial for wearing the flag -- as he does in the movie -- and cursing a lot. -- Abbie Hoffman was a role model for me in high school.)  Anyhow, my point is that Abbie Hoffman (aka Barry Freed) was branded in the USA... but this guy may be another politico that I spent time in college studying :)
