You mention the best buy My Book by Western Digital - my local store is having a sale on the 500 gig version - only 99 bucks! More storage then all my computers combined - for 100 bucks - great deal. More storage then all my computers combined – for 100 bucks – great deal. So far so good – no tech issues – just drag and drop.

Here are a few supplemental items: Many people who use Google Docs may wonder how to go about downloading all of the documents/spreadsheets/presentations they have there to their local hard drive. I'd recommend using Down Them All Firefox add on because it allows you to download a bunch of files at a time. There are other tools (i.e. Docs Syncer), but Down Them All is nice for a simple and quick way to get all the wanted files downloaded. (Side note: Utilize Gears and turn that on to get a pseudo-backup and offline access) When using Mozy consider making up your own encryption key, instead of just using the default Mozy generated key.
