Dan, I'm a Graphic designer based in the United Kingdom and I'm getting interested in 'personal branding' since personally venturing onto business and social networking sites.
My main interest comes from being commissioned by a corporate client to 'personalise' a team of strategic consultants' on line images, and creating what i think is a very powerful 'avatar' representational style for use in social and some business online networking forums by individuals to represent themselves.
Do you have any insights into this realm?

I couldn't agree more with Dr. Gaines-Ross. As a career coach, I remind my clients that in today's electronic world the moral of the story "The Emperor has not clothes" is so relevant. What you say electronically, the pictures and comments you post - - everything is available to the world. Think twice, type once. The good news is that you can now connect electronically with friends and professionals around the world with just a click of your mouse.
