		<description>Nice concise list and useful explanations, thanks for sharing Dan. I&#039;ve found &lt;b&gt;Backtype&lt;/b&gt; increasingly useful as I have used it over the past few weeks, especially when you &#039;follow&#039; key URLs and people to widen your terms of reference.

It&#039;s worth noting that &lt;a href=&quot;http://search.twitter.com&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt;Twitter Search&lt;/a&gt; can be set up to feed you the results of a search via RSS, so it can act as an &#039;always on&#039; monitor that catches the mentions for you.
