Well I love the mission. I think part of the problem stems from our education system and distorted values of our society.

It is also difficult to comprehend that you could actually be successful at personal branding, especially with the increasingly fragmented and vast world called the internet.

Millennials need to be incentived to do things and there must be instant gratification. Growth and recognition takes time as you've seen with your own blog.

Keep the mission going. Helping you along the way.

This is a terrific post. This post should be sent to every student in high school and college, as well as every recent college grad.

Sites like www.brazencareerist.com are helping to facilitate this branding process between millennials and companies that are recruiting. It takes much more than a Facebook or MySpace profile to depict who you are as an individual or business person.

As an employer one of the first things I check is a persons facbook or myspace. This tells alot about a person's personal branding initiatives.

I agree. The first thing most employers will do is Google someone. Personal branding does take time, but it is an investment in yourself which will make you more valuable.

Not only is it the people with strong personal brands who will come out on top in the current job market crunch, but those people are likely to be the ones who have been building their personal brand the <strike>longest</strike> best.

Although it's better late than never, a personal brand takes time to build. People need to get moving now.
